It's Finally Fall Ya'll!

The weather has been absolutely perfect in Florida this week.  My windows have been open allowing the cool fall breeze to chill my toes!  I love, love, love fall!

Last weekend I decorated my front porch for the season.  I have been wanting grapevine garland for a while now, but didn't want to spend the money.  So I went to a friends house and cut down a bunch of vines.  I should have wrapped them up right after I cut them down and let them dry.  But I made it work.  I also used a ton of pine cones and berries that I found in my yard.  Gotta love shopping the yard!  The flower bucket was put together with remnants of old wreaths I have had along with some more organic finds from the yard.  A few feathers were thrown in for good measure.  The best part is that I only spent $9 all together and that was on the fall leafy garland!

I really love driving up at night to see the warm glow of the lantern.  The glitter of the leaves and ribbon around the garland twinkle in the light.  I plan to work on the garage area this weekend.  I hope the weather is a beautiful as ours!

Looks great! Love the green candles. The chair makes me want to come and rock on your porch. Like the idea of putting pine cones @ the top of the urn & the green/black polka dotted planter.

Front porch looks great. I would swear you were in New England. Isn't shopping the yard great! My daughter and I did shopping in her corn field last week in Illinois. Hopefully I can get a post up for all the projects we did while there. Thanks for visiting my first post. I was so afraid no one would visit. Thanks for the encouragement. Ginger

Cute colorful fall decorations for your porch- like how you added pinecones to the plants in the urns and the wreath in the clay pot. I love your grapevine pumpkins and gourd, too!

Hi! I absolutley LOVE your porch! You did such an awesome job and I have to tell you that I don't think that I would EVER in a million years have thought of putting the pinecones in the urn around that plant! That was so creative and I am totally gonna borrow that idea from you! :-)
Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh, I like what you did to that wreath in that planter! I like it better than what I did with my wreath. I'll show mine tomorrow night. Really great porch decor. Love the candlesticks on the porch too. That's a great idea.

Your front porch is so welcoming. Love your topiary. You have it fixed so nice.
Thanks for your sweet comments on my recent post. I explained about those big pumpkins in a post last year. You'd have to go quite a ways.
My hubby pleaded with a pharmacy owner in a little town in NC that had them on "display only" till they sold them to him. lol
By that time, I was so embarrassed--I was out of there. He came out with them and we brought them home. He's so persausive!

Hi Lacy,
I love the pine cones in the pots around the plants. It's a good way to add a fall touch for free and who doesn't like free?

How beautiful is this?! Your entry is so inviting ... don't be surprised if you come out to find me rocking in your chair by the candlelight! I love your basket filled with all things Fall (big fan of feathers myself)! And, thank you for your kind note about my Fall mantel and buffet! No need to have mantel envy ... just go get some burlap and tuck it in one of your vases, too! Have a great day, Becca

I like how you repurposed stuff from your garden for authentic decor. Love your rocking chair, but I have a thing for rocking chairs on porches.
