The Heart of My Home

Sheila at Note Songs is the gracious host of a fun party this week called

Come take a look at the heart of my home, my kitchen.

I love that I can watch the kids play in the backyard while I cook and clean.
I spy a little wreath on the playhouse.  I am training her right.

Here is my new fork and spoon that my mom gave me for my birthday!

This is command central for all dinners, homework, crafts, games, etc...

The dumping grounds!  I am keeping it real, y'all!

And of course no heart of the home would be complete without a large guard cat!
I think the only thing Fifi is protecting is that chair!
Oops, there is an air-soft pellet under the china cabinet!

Thanks Sheila for such a fun party!

Well first, your daughter is just adorable and cute kitty! Love the archway, and the large window overlooking the backyard. I know your family is often making memories here. Stopping by from Note Songs party. I hope you'll drop by Atticmag to see our kitchens - it's a three for one!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving such nice comments about my kitchen reno. I couldn't help but laugh over your electric plug envy. Too funny! Actually I see some similarities in our kitchens.

I like your window treatment. I'm going to attempt to use a plantation shutter I bought off Craigslist but my kitchen guy pointed out I won't be able to open the shutter or my window because the taller faucet will be in the way. Awwww...who needs to open a window anyway? Well, if the shutter idea is a flop, I'll have to remember your window treatment idea. :)

You have a beautiful kitchen! Love the way it is laid out and how you have accessorized it. Wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your previous post about Cynthia Aiken. I seriously gasped when I saw the pictures of her work. Truly perfect and gorgeous in my book! How can I find her on Rate My Space?
