A Big Top Christmas Tree!

Christmas is all about the "Greatest Show on Earth!"
A circus themed tree is just perfect for the true
meaning of this season.
Mom's tree is full of brightly colored balls,
circus themed ornaments and
lots of whimsical picks to make it even more fun.

The tree stand and top hat came from Lux Art in Sarasota.
The clown shoes came from, well.. a clown, of course!

Mom's Special Christmas Cards!

For the last 4 years my mom and step-dad have been sending out special Christmas card.
Why are they so special?
They are special because the include stories written by
my Mom and illustrated by my Step-Dad (Pappy).
Mom has a crazy imagination and Pappy is a wicked artist.
Combine the two and you get an entertaining and endearing Christmas card.

Wouldn't you look forward to getting one of these cards each year?

We will be getting together tomorrow to spend Christmas with my family!

I can't wait to see Mom's tree!
Can you guess what the theme will be?

I hope you have a great weekend!

White Christmas

There are a few traditions that I love during the holidays.  One of my favorites is Christmas movies.  Miracle on 34th Street (the oldest one), The Grinch that Stole Christmas, Elf, and more are always fun to watch.

But nothing beats
Irving Berlin's White Christmas
with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye and Vera Ellen.  I could hear those songs, replay those fabulous dances and stare into Bing's gorgeous blue eyes (yes, I have a crush!).  The costumes, sets and story line are fun, heart warming and leave me wishing I was born in that era.

Vera Ellen had the most amazing legs!

If you have not seen this movie, run out and rent it or try to find it on TV!
You will not regret it.  This is a musical at it's best.

I have seriously watched it 4 times this season
and have recorded it so that I can turn it on any time.

"I fall asleep counting my blessings!"

A Rustic Family Christmas & A Guest Post

Hey friends!  I am a guest blogger at Finding My Aloha today!  My friend Emily is in the process of moving to Alaska from Seattle!  Can you imagine??  I hope you will hop over and visit her blog and look around.  She is extremely talented and her ideas are guaranteed to blow you away!

I wanted to share with you another home I had the pleasure of working on this season.  When I first spoke with Donna she told me she had been married for 33 years and just didn't feel inspired to decorate this year.  A fresh take on her decor was what she wanted.  I was glad to help.

Again the tree was already up.  It just needed to be taken up a notch.  The family room has a lots of fun hunting trophies that Donna wanted to give a little holiday cheer.  This was a lot of fun to do and I hope that the family was please with the outcome.

The moose makes me smile.
He would wear a different hat during each holiday!

We took a hat & scarf off of a little bear so that the squirrel could spread some cheer!  It looks like it was made for him!

These trees were my favorite.
The Santa suit was a dog costume.

Lots of glass balls, pine cones, poinsettias, grapevine ribbon and red beaded garland make up this tree.

The dining table will hold lots of good food during an upcoming party!

The reason for the season!

Meet my friend Angel.
She kept me company during my visit!

This really was a lot of fun and this family was just as sweet as they come!  I hope you enjoyed this tour!

Hopefully I will be back tonight for a tablescape I have dreamed up!  I am just hoping I can fit it into my schedule!
