Easy Canvas Art!

I love using a blank canvas to help make a big impact in a room.  They are inexpensive an very versatile.  I have been wanting to use a large canvas in my son's room for some time now.  The only problem was that I was to cheap to pay for them!  Michael's finally put the exact size (24x36) I wanted on clearance for $25!  Simple craft paint in red & white and I have a personalized piece of art!  This was super easy and only took me about an hour plus drying time!

Dive Flags warn boaters that scuba divers are in the area!  We snorkel alot during the summer and the flag is a constant necessity for us.  The flag means alot to my son.  He loves the ocean and wants to be a Marine Biologist one day.  He is a walking encyclopedia of sharks.
So naturally his room reflects his love for the water.
This was a bare blank wall before!

Stay & look around!
Enjoy!

Wow! Lacy I adore this room. You have created such a neat-o place for your son. The pops of red against the neutral paint is fantastic. Love the buoy frame and collection of sea animals in jars. So cool! It makes me wish it was my room. I know he loves it.

Thank you very much for entering my giveaway and your kind support of me and my blog. You are so sweet to post it up on your sidebar too. Thank you my friend.

Happy week and good luck with the giveaway!
Warmly, ~Melissa :)

I love that artwork you made! His room is so cute. Love all the ocean themed accessories. I wanted to be a marine biologist too when I was growing up near the ocean, but that changed. Thanks for linking to my first party.

Hi Lacy! What an absolutely wonderful room you have created for your son! I am starting to gather ideas for my son's room when he "graduates" to the next level of big boy-ness! :-) I also wanted to tell you that I am adding you to my blogroll (can't believe I somehow haven't done that yet!) and that I adore the fact that your daughter was Mary Poppins for Halloween! In a sea of girls trying to grow up too fast it was delightful to see one dressed as something feminine and wholesome! :-)
Blessings,
Vanessa
