Gallery Wall

In November I change out the artwork over my couch.
The Fowl with Pearls print by Michael Sowa makes me smile every time I look at her.
The wall is large is blank space.  I have always loved gallery walls and wanted to have one of my own.  It has slowly progressed and I plan to
add more as I find items that are meant to be.

Here is the progression:

The original art came from Kirklands.
I was never in love with it.

Here she is all by herself.

These belonged to my great-grandmother.
They have been in a drawer for a long, long time.

"The Bookworm" by Carl Spitzweg belong to my Mom.
I have looked at this all my life.  Thanks for letting me have it Mom!

I was thrilled to find this Santos doll at Homegoods.

These change often, I can't get satisfied with them.
I am thinking of new lamps?
What do you think?

If you like what you see, please stay and look around.
I would love for you to become a follower!!

I love it!!! So much better, I work at Kirklands and when I saw the first pic I said oh this is all wrong....but as I scrolled down I thought it was perfect! :)

Ok when I say the pic I had to smile too and even a little chuckle came out....it kinda reminds me of those pictures that no matter where you are in the room it's lookin' at you :) but when you added the other groupings, it's very captivating.
I'm lovin' it!

I love those round pieces that belonged to your great grandmother, and I love the way you've lined them up inside a frame. The wall looks great with all of your additions. I can't believe you found that Santos at HomeGoods. So pretty. And the balerina frog is the such a whimsical touch - love him! laurie

Lacy, I love the new look of the wall. Love the little round pictures. Glad you pulled them out to enjoy. Great picture that your mom gave you. You found a santos doll at HG, too. Lucky you.
Thanks for joining the party again.

Lacy, I think your gallery or "London" wall is turning out fantastic! You're using a nice selection of things and I truly love the whimsy of your "fowl" picture and her pearl necklace!

Have you considered using asymmetry as you continue to add on? I've always been a "balanced" decorator, myself, but lately have been finding myself going another direction. It wasn't easy, initially, let me tell ya! LOL

Re: your comment on my post about grout cleaning- there are commercial products you can use to clean it, but the consensus seems to be that steaming it brings the best results. I think it is working real well for me. It's just very time consuming! Not to mention hard on the knees! :-)
Thanks for your visit. ~ Sue

Hi Lacy, Your gallery wall is coming along beautifully! I really like the small round prints you hung in the larger frame - so smart. The duck (goose?) is funny :). Yes, I vote new lamps...your swirly ones would look cute in a bedroom. Blessings, Kim

Your gallery wall looks great, Lacy! The Fowl with Pearls is just so fun and whimsical! But my favorite are your great-grandmothers miniture paintings! I don't know why, but I've always been drawn to things like this. So unique and sentimental because they were passed down. It's so cool you were able to use them!
