Tablescape Thursday!

I love tablescapes
I am addicted to creating a beautiful table.  I think my new hobby might cost me a little though!  I want more linens, place mats, flatware and lots of fun glasses and dishes!  UGGGHHH!  I recently bought some pillow shams on eBay and the company sent me 4 napkins by Rose Tree as a gift!  I loved the color and print and new exactly how I would use them.

Fifi couldn't hang with all the fun!

I bought the four square blue & white plates when I was in DC.  I love Mount Vernon and could have spent my whole day in the museum looking at all the dishes.   George & Martha were so ahead of their timeMy camera was not cooperating at the time or I could of had some great pics to share with you!

I made a huge mess pulling out everything I could find deciding on what to put in this tablescape.  But everything got re-organized and all my cabinets are now clean!  Whoo-hoo!  I played with a few other ideas first but the kids said that this was their favorite!  It's nice to have the peanut gallery around.

The blue & white salad plates are a perfect memento of Mount Vernon. I may have to go to my Ross and see if they have any of those great vases. I'm a blue and white girl, too. I enjoyed your table. Cherry Kay

Yes, I know exactly what you meant with getting addicted with tablescape. But I swore, I will not buy stuff, just to make a new tablescape. ... Or, at least, no expensive stuff. I mean, one must have a hobby, or not? And in the end, the family enjoy the tablescaping also. Don't they? Its a pretty table what you made. Love those bluewhite rectangular salad plates. And your Fifi is so cute. She knows how to get attraction. Give her some caress of me.
Greetings, Johanna

I know what you mean about buying stuff now that you are doing tablescapes. I've always loved this stuff but I find myself wanting more and more when I look through the TT posts. I love the blue and white with the white. I like the flowers in the soup tureen.

Love the colors you've included in this tablescape! And the feathers echo the pattern in the napkins you've used in the centerpiece -- clever! Thank you for visiting my table this week!

It's been many years since I visited Mt. Vernon. Your post makes me want to go back (I wasn't into dishes back then!). Love the square plates. The display in your china cabinet looks beautiful!

Fifi is adorable!
