We are on our way!

1.   LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.    My son Riley and I will be headed to Washington, D.C. on Sunday!  WooHoo!!
Did I mention that I am leaving on a bus with 36 fourth graders, 10 parents,
1 Safety Patrol sponsor, and 1 Alachua County Sheriff's Department Detective!

Our trip is done with numerous schools in our county that the A.S.O. has put on for the last 28 years.
It will be very fast pace touring for over 14 hours each day!
I can't wait!  I went 2 years ago and had so much fun.

3.    Both of my boys have baseball tournaments that start tonight and carry through to Sunday.

4.    I will take a week long break from blogging.  It will be killing me to not be able to see all the
creative, thrifty, and amazing projects y'all will be doing!

Take Care!

My Very First Tablescape!!!

If you blog then Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is a constant in viewing pleasure!  I have been dying to design a tablescape to participate in on Tablescape Thursday!

I decided to dive head first into a tablescape that is themed around a girls tea party!  My sweet Molly helped me set the dishes and silverware!  It was so much fun to do this with her.
Enjoy!

A House Tour; Mom's Kitchen & Giveaway At SSS!

I wanted to share with you my Mom's kitchen,
but before we get to that I wanted to share with you a
giveaway that is going on over at Southern Savvy Style!
Kim has the most gorgeous house and is one of my favorite blogs
to visit!  If you don't know Kim, click on the link and take a look around.
But first become a follower of hers and enter to win a $60 G.C. from CSN Stores!

Mom's kitchen is fun, whimsical, and happy to me.
There are lots of mirror's in her house that makes it look even more open than it already does.

This my favorite part of her house.  I love the large letters and the gold fruit!

Mom bought us both these cute little cake stands!
Don't you love her back splash?

My great-grandmother always had this jar full of cookie cutters on her counter.

How fun is this chandelier!

View from the end of the kitchen.
This is the breakfast room that is open from the kitchen.
Pappy painted the table and chairs. The fabric on the chairs lends a nod to the Circus.

The gallery wall features all of Pappy's art work!

And last is a pitcher of cold brew tea brewing.  Mom always has an extra pitcher waiting to used.
Life in the South would not be complete without sweet tea!

Outdoor Wednesday

Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

I have been featuring rooms in my Mom's house lately, but today I wanted to give you a taste of her yard.
The plaque above hangs next to her front door.  I gave this to her over 14 years ago.  Mom has always had a beautiful yard that she has taken pride in and the plaque fits her to a tee!

This is the view from the pool

This is baby Ollie

Can you see dinner in her mouth?

The family of owls live in the trees in their backyard.
They sit out every evening and watch them!

I hope you enjoyed a little taste of my Mom's outdoors!

Outdoor Wednesday: The Lake House

I am participating in Outdoor Wednesday hosted by A Southern Daydreamer and Watery Wednesday for some outdoor fun!

We spend our Memorial Day weekends every year on Lake June with my My In Laws!  This is a weekend that we look forward to every year.  The kids stay in the water for as long as the weather will allow. The adults always have a great time being "big" kids with them .
The food is always great and the company even better!

I love the view from the dock.  Each side offer a relaxing scenery. I can't get enough pictures of it.

The boat is ready and waiting to go out and catch some fish!

Neighboring Docks

The dogs waiting on the boys to get done riding the tube!

Nothing says summer better than Watermelon! YUM

The perfect ending to a wonderful weekend!
