The Round Table

My family spent Labor Day Weekend at my Mom's house in Sarasota.  We shared a few meals at the round table.  So I thought I would share it with you.

This is a simple tablescape with Pfaltzgraff Heritage White dinnerware, simple wine glasses, tropical water goblets and highlights of silver.  I love the contrast of the white against the dark table.

We did have a small hiccup deciding on what the use as the centerpiece.  The centerpiece started with a large gold pear.  My step dad made a trip to the grocery store while we were trying to make up our mind and came home with some pretty pink flowers.  Thank you Pappy! We made a change halfway through with a silver water pitcher and pink poseys!  I loved both of them...

Pappy made an appearance on "The Crusty Nest!"

Thanks Lolo & Pappy!  We had a great time!

  1. Oh the flowers are much nicer. That pear needs a little something. Maybe a raffia tie around its stem.

What a beautiful table. It is so gorgeous, I see why you didn't cover it up! I love the golden pear in the center, it really pops.

  9. I agree with the above comment that you need to print and frame that picture. I love the grin on the face.

I love that table and would want to show it off too. To me, it's elegant with the silver and flowers and really fun with the giant pear. A win/win no matter how you look at it!

  13. Wow- that pear makes a statement! Where DID you find that gorgeous thing? I do believe that the pitcher of flowers works better on your pretty white tablescape because of its scale, but you are really lucky to have that scrumptious pear to work with! Visiting from Susan's party.
