My Christmas Jobs Part 1

Not only have I been busy getting my house ready for Christmas, but I have had the privilege of helping a few other families get their home's ready too!  I have had a blast playing with someone else's Christmas decor.
I have decked out a total of 11 trees this season.

Part 1:
Cathy's house is amazing.  I used to help her with her tree when I was a kid.  She has always had amazing taste and makes everything so much fun.  You are guaranteed to laugh when she is around.  Add two of the cutest dogs and a good time will be had by all!

The wood floors take my breath away!

The tree was already put up with the ornaments.
I came in and added some red flowers,
ribbon and the topper.
All the items used were found from around her house.

This silk beaded ornament was made in the late 60's by a friend of our family.
My Grandmother and Cathy's mom both had a collection of these.
I don't have this ornament, but Cathy has promised it to me.
I don't want her to forget, so this will be her reminder!!!

The red flowers really add a nice pop of color.
The ribbon adds softness to the tree.

Red mesh intertwined with ivory ribbon and jingle bell garland adorn the mantle.  A skinny soldier and angel flank each side of the TV.

A fun centerpiece  in the dining room.

Molly

and Madison supervised.

Two kissing balls and this amazing kissing crystal are beautifully hanging in the kitchens pass through.
Isn't this amazing!!
And I was lucky enough to bring one home with me!
Now I have to decide where to put it!

Thank you Cathy!
I had so much fun helping you with your house!

Another fun house is coming tomorrow!

Spode Tablescape

Spode Christmas Tree is my Christmas china of choice.  I love the simplicity that it offers.  You can dress it up with other patterns, gold or silver.  Speciality pieces of the pattern allow you to mix it up a little more.  I chose to dress it up with Lenox Moonspun and add some color with a dressy red placemat. Fresh greens, Fostoria crystal bowl, cranberries and candles make for a simple yet elegant centerpiece.

Have you seen the Mikasa Giveaway I am having?

A Tale of Three Trees...

Three kids = Three Trees.
Three very different trees for three very different kids.
A sports tree, a fishing tree, and a very prissy tree.

A Sporting Tale

Glass blown ornaments combined with a few nutcrackers make for a very athletic tree for a very athletic boy.
I used a remnant of blue ticking as a tree skirt.

A Fishing Tale

A green tinsel tree with a collection of bobbers and lures makes or a fun tree for an avid fisherman.
A net is the only choice for this tree.
The starfish and shark jaw are a few
of this boys favorite treasures.

A Very Prissy Tale

A pink flocked tree with tons of antique silk beaded ornaments, a flamingo, ballet dancer and few french touches make for a very prissy tree.  Yes, that sums up my girl!

Those trees fit my kids to a tee!  The best part is that it makes them extremely happy to come home and find their rooms all decked out for Christmas.
